About Us

"Do your little bit of good where you are; it's those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world."

- Desmond Tutu -

Originally from Montréal, Spread Kindness founder Lyne Barnabé moved to Vancouver in 1997 where she works as a tv/radio host and reporter, scriptwriter, stage and voice actor.

2018 changed her life. Health issues forced her to stop for a whole year. One of the many things she’s learned during that year was to receive. Accepting to receive help and support from her loved ones. And that wave of kindness touched her so deeply that she could not wait to give back. The idea of Spread Kindness came to her in December 2018 after performing daily acts of kindness during the whole month of December. It came clear to her that was something that everybody should experience – especially children. Because they are our future and children certainly know how to make this world a better place.

When COVID-19 shook our world in spring 2020, Lyne decided to jump. She started creating the first Spread Kindness product: the Kindness Advent Calendar. She also created the 21 Act of Kindness Facebook page to offer people ideas of acts of kindness to perform in a time of dire need.

Spread Kindness’ mission is to promote kindness by creating a line of playful, eco-friendly, educational and decorative objects to help kids and grown-ups spread kindness.
